Can You Help Us, Please?

We are looking for helpers in the following areas. The tasks can be done at any time to suit the individuals and most are leading up to and at events.

To Help Increase Awareness.

To visit charities, social workers and carers to tell them about MidasPlus and what we can offer to people in their care who may be in need.

To deliver leaflets about MidasPlus to the Waiting rooms in Health Centres, Doctor’s, Dentist’s surgeries, sports, leisure and social clubs.

To visit applicants to check validity of their application – Social work experience needed.

Events General

Suggest, organise or help to organise events such as dinners, walks and other fundraising events.

Sell tickets for events.

Approach companies, hotels etc. for prizes. People who regularly organise meetings, events would be great.

Annual Duck Race on Staines-upon-Thames Day

To help promote the event and to sell large ducks for decorating and entering the race to companies, schools, charities, pubs, clubs etc. The event is held on the last Sunday in June.

To administer & control the sale of new ducks and re-entry of old ducks including delivery, collection & payment.

To sell little ducks on the day and on the Saturday before the event.

To help on the day with set up of the start, finish and the stall in the morning and breakdown of these in the afternoon.

To help with the start and finish of the races themselves; getting the ducks into the river, netting them out and overseeing collection.
