A founder of RMH Fundraising and MidasPlus and the main fundraiser for the Penrose Club. Until recently Ray ran “Blowers”, a Gentleman’s Barbers in Church Street, Staines. He still works there one day a week. Over the last 30+ years Ray has raised huge amounts for deserving local causes and his selfless commitment to fundraising is an outstanding example to everybody. His innovative ideas and determination to raise money has benefited countless people in the community.

Mike, who for many years ran a local specialist IT Sales Recruitment Consultancy and a Website Design business, was also a founder of both RMH Fundraising and MidasPlus. He has lived in Staines-upon-Thames since 1989 and has been fundraising in Spelthorne for 35 years. He was honoured by Spelthorne Borough Council in 2001 for his fundraising activities. His interests include watching Rugby Union (mainly Harlequins & England), playing golf (usually badly), and travelling.

Nigel took early retirement from Local Government in 2015. He was the Head of a large London Borough’s Grants Unit for 28 years. In this role, he advised voluntary and charity groups on funding and managed Council, NHS, and EU grant programmes. He also provided guidance on governance, finance, and policy. Prior to that, he worked for Age Concern and has held Trusteeships with ten local charities.

Nick is a local teacher and was also a senior manager in Surrey’s Children Services until 2019. Passionate about supporting families and young people, he is actively involved in the community as a Director of Ashford Youth Club and the Phoenix Project, as well as coordinating the Spelthorne Jobs and Skills Hub.
