MidasPlus donated £1000 to help local mothers in desperate need
MidasPlus donated £1000 to a volunteer-led project based in Sunbury whose aim is to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby.
Working with midwives, health visitors and other professional groups to provide support directly where it is most needed, the volunteers lovingly collect, sort and package a ‘Moses Basket’ of clothing, toiletries and essential baby equipment for new mothers.
In normal times many items, particularly clothing is donated, but due to Covid restrictions, they were unable to take in second-hand items. This led to a shortage and so our donation was used to purchase items that could not be donated to enable them to continue this vital work.
