After 2 years of being moved to a number of temporary accommodations, this lady finally has a permanent home. The sitting room has a concrete floor, and the bedrooms have bare floorboards. She is on benefits, and her child suffers from ASD and ADHD. We provided rugs for the 3 rooms.
This lady, on benefits and receiving vouchers for food, has an 18-month-old and 2 other children. Her fridge freezer broke and was not repairable. We purchased a new one.
A young girl who has aplastic anaemia is the carer for her mother, who has a number of serious long-term medical conditions. She has enrolled on a course at Brooklands College. We provided a laptop to enable her to do her studies.
A lady with stage 3 lung cancer suffered pneumonia, is struggling to care for her 7-year-old son, who suffers from ADHD, and look after their home, which is a one-bedroom flat. She is awaiting PIP but needs help now. We have agreed to pay for home help for 3 months.
This home needs cleaning & decluttering. The occupant, who has several health issues, including agoraphobia, breathing difficulties and arthritis, is on Universal Credits and PIP but has not been able to cope. We partially funded this work.
This family moved into a council property due to immediate safeguarding concerns. The mother’s mattress and one of the children’s mattresses are torn inside, which are causing them back pain and sleep deprivation. Mother is currently receiving Universal Credit and is also in training. She is doing a health and social care course. We provided new mattresses.
