RAY BLOWERS – Trustee

MidasPlus is delighted to have Kwasi as our Patron.

He was first elected the Conservative MP for Spelthorne in 2010. He was appointed Secretary of State at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on 8 January 2021.He was previously Minister of State at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

A founder of RMH Fundraising and MidasPlus and the main fundraiser for the Penrose Club. Until recently Ray ran “Blowers”, a Gentleman’s Barbers in Church Street, Staines. He still works there one day a week.Over the last 30+ years Ray has raised huge amounts for deserving local causes and his selfless commitment to fundraising is an outstanding example to everybody. His innovative ideas and determination to raise money has benefited countless people in the community.

Mike, who for many years ran a local specialist IT Sales Recruitment Consultancy, was also a founder of both RMH Fundraising and MidasPlus. He is now retired but still engages with customers designing websites, offering search engine optimisation and internet marketing consultancy services. He has lived in Staines since 1989 and was honoured by Spelthorne Borough Council in 2001 for his fundraising activities.

NIGEL FOGG – Trustee

Nigel took early retirement from Local Government in 2015. He was the Head of a large London Borough’s Grants Unit for 28 years. In this capacity he advised voluntary and charity groups on all aspects of funding as well as Council, NHS and EU grant programmes. He also advised groups on good governance, financial and policy procedures and practices. Prior to his local government career, Nigel worked for Age Concern and held Trusteeships with ten local charities over many years.
